This is my 4th valve housing. Granted, my pressure cooker is 12 years old and I do use it at least 2 times per week but the plastic does break easily.

Not Pleasant Hill Grain's fault....but the part is soooo cheaply made. Breaks easily and pretty expensive. These pressure cookers are premium and very pricey. We have had to replace the plastic part a numbewr of times. It has to fall on the floor just once or twice and... dinner is over. : ( They should make a rugged valve housing.
