SousVide Supreme ovens use a French cooking technique that involves vacuum sealing food and then cooking it in hot water. This technique requires precise temperature control that SousVide Supreme machines regulate with a proportional-integrated-derivative temperature controller keeping water within 1 degree of the desired temperature. Water ovens are efficient, easy to use, and don’t require a lot of cleanup. With the SousVide Supreme ovens, you can enjoy evenly cooked steak, tender chicken breasts, and vibrant vegetables every time.
What is Sous Vide?
Sous Vide is a French term that means “under pressure.” In this cooking technique, food is vacuum sealed using a vacuum sealer and then heated in the temperature-controlled water oven. Similar to a slow cooker, you can start the SousVide water oven in the morning, go to work, and come home to a perfectly cooked meal. It’s that simple! This technique was first developed in the 1970’s by a gourmet chef. It's only recently become available to home cooks, mostly thanks to the folks at SousVide Supreme.
