Large multipurpose 7-inch stainless steel blade handles a wide range of food sizes and shapes. Parts remove easily for cleaning, a serving tray (not pictured) and metal food pusher are included.

The Model 615A’s precision thickness control allows users to slice from deli-thin to approximately 3/4" thick. Its intermittent and continuous on/off switch and safety button secures food carriage in “lock” position to limit access to blade when not in use.
The Chef’s Choice 615 and 615A slicers are identical; the "A” simply specifies that it was made in a new Chef's Choice production facility.
“I use commercial grade slicers in my business. I purchased this slicer for my personal home use and am very pleased with it. It performs excellently! It's easily cleaned and maintained, and takes very little space to store. Definitely a good purchase!”

By Jeremiah C. in CA on 4/29/2017 - Verified BuyerFor the $ this slicer can't be beat. It's built fairly sturdy compared to other slicers & it has a relatively small footprint which allows me to store it readily. It's also pretty easy to clean with the only drawback of note being a cog attached to the cutting blade which has silicone grease making it difficult to clean. Power is not an issue with this slicer as it's sliced just about anything I can put in it with ease. The food platform is easy to operate and very smooth. It allows for product length up to about 9 3/4 inches which is nice for slicing homemade bacon. All in all you wont be disappointed with this slicer. I've owned several slicers & by far this one is the best. Don't waste your $ on big industrial slicers. They are far bigger than the home application & cost a significant amount of unnecessary $ to do the same thing. Plus they are a pain in the ass to clean.20 out of 20 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Michelle P. in WI on 4/12/2016 - Verified BuyerThis product works great for the purpose for which I purchased it. It's easy to use and easy to clean (which I really like). However, it does get a little bogged down by some cheeses.Moderator:
Chilling your cheese will reduce drag. Thanks for your review Michelle!17 out of 17 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Craig R. in IL on 3/21/2017 - Verified BuyerSo far I've sliced up beef roast to make Italian beef sandwiches and corned beef to make Rubens. Paper thin cuts, easy to clean unlike my old slicer. It's a keeper!11 out of 11 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Douglas V. in ID on 12/18/2016 - Verified BuyerThe 615 slicer is just the right size for home use. It easily sliced through deli meats and produce to make them ultra thin for sandwiches, and it's very easy to clean up after use. PHG's customer service is great too!9 out of 9 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Steve W. in AR on 7/20/2018 - Verified BuyerI bake a lot of bread and some are sandwich loaves so I bought this for roast, cheeses, brisket and large turkey or chicken breasts but also for bread. I just got it today so maybe I do not have the hang of it just yet but it slices great only the slice gets caught and sometimes tears pulling it out of the machine. Nevertheless, it cut cheese great and the slices of sourdough sandwich bread were cut great. For the money I felt like it was a good purchase and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good slicer for not a lot of money. I would have given it 5 stars if the bread slices did not have to be pulled loose each time. I had no trouble with the cheese.6 out of 6 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Robert M. in MD on 10/18/2019 - Verified BuyerThis slicer has a lot of good attributes that make it *almost* perfect for home use. It's affordable, solidly-built, small and light enough to move and store easily, but definitely not flimsy. I would have rated it at five stars if it didn't have the stainless steel "cladding" on the food carriage. This is where food items rest as they're pushed past the rotating blade, so any juices or other liquid from the food can, and probably do, work their way between the metal cladding and the plastic below. The cladding doesn't seem to be removable for cleaning, so washing away any trapped liquids that might have collected under it can't be done with any real certainty of success. If the machine had been designed with a one-piece metal or plastic food carriage instead of having the (decorative? ) steel cladding, the potential for long-term sanitation problems could have been avoided, I would think.4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.
