For the $ this slicer can't be beat. It's built fairly sturdy compared to other slicers & it has a relatively small footprint which allows me to store it readily. It's also pretty easy to clean with the only drawback of note being a cog attached to the cutting blade which has silicone grease making it difficult to clean. Power is not an issue with this slicer as it's sliced just about anything I can put in it with ease. The food platform is easy to operate and very smooth. It allows for product length up to about 9 3/4 inches which is nice for slicing homemade bacon. All in all you wont be disappointed with this slicer. I've owned several slicers & by far this one is the best. Don't waste your $ on big industrial slicers. They are far bigger than the home application & cost a significant amount of unnecessary $ to do the same thing. Plus they are a pain in the ass to clean.
This product works great for the purpose for which I purchased it. It's easy to use and easy to clean (which I really like). However, it does get a little bogged down by some cheeses.
This slicer works great. I bought the additional blade.
So far I've sliced up beef roast to make Italian beef sandwiches and corned beef to make Rubens. Paper thin cuts, easy to clean unlike my old slicer. It's a keeper!
Slices homemade pastrami and bulk cheese as nice as a store sized slicer.
The 615 slicer is just the right size for home use. It easily sliced through deli meats and produce to make them ultra thin for sandwiches, and it's very easy to clean up after use. PHG's customer service is great too!
Its so easy to use and to clean. I love it. would recommend this machine.
This slicer cut through roast beef with ease. The food tray is a great plus, catches any drips. I am really happy I bought this slicer.
It is a very good machine, it does everything it is expected to do. My wife buys bulk cheese and it sliced it wonderfully well.
I bake a lot of bread and some are sandwich loaves so I bought this for roast, cheeses, brisket and large turkey or chicken breasts but also for bread. I just got it today so maybe I do not have the hang of it just yet but it slices great only the slice gets caught and sometimes tears pulling it out of the machine. Nevertheless, it cut cheese great and the slices of sourdough sandwich bread were cut great. For the money I felt like it was a good purchase and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good slicer for not a lot of money. I would have given it 5 stars if the bread slices did not have to be pulled loose each time. I had no trouble with the cheese.
