What is Sous Vide?
Sous Vide is a French term that means “under pressure.” In this cooking technique, food is vacuum sealed using a vacuum sealer and then heated in the temperature-controlled water oven. Similar to a slow cooker, you can start the SousVide water oven in the morning, go to work, and come home to a perfectly cooked meal. It’s that simple! This technique was first developed in the 1970’s by a gourmet chef. It's only recently become available to home cooks, mostly thanks to the folks at SousVide Supreme.
Water Ovens
The stainless SousVide Supreme Kit water oven features a 3 gallon capacity, sleek stainless steel design, and a lid that doubles as a drip tray for pouch transport. It’s fully adjustable from 86 to 210 degrees Fahrenheit, has a detachable cord, and operates quietly. With the included recipe book, you’ll be ready to start SousVide cooking right away.
