Zippy Pop Stainless Stovetop Popcorn Popper, 5.5Q
This solid, stainless steel popcorn popper from Zippy Pop is thoughtfully designed and built to last! Besides making delicious popcorn snacks, this stovetop popper will also roast nuts and green coffee beans.
Do you like to make flavored popcorn? Once your popcorn is popped, simply remove the silicone cover from the hole in the tempered glass lid and add your flavorings. Turning the hand-crank handle on the outside of the pot will rotate the tumbling mechanism inside—which features a stainless steel stationary baffle and propeller arms. This unique tumbling design coats each popped kernel uniformly so you can enjoy your delicious flavorings in each bite.
Zippy Pop’s patented tumbling mechanism is attached to the vented, tempered glass lid. The clear lid lets you keep an eye on your popcorn, or roasting beans or nuts, without lifting the lid. A silicone gasket is attached to the lid providing a tight seal between the lid and the pan.
The 5.5-quart capacity is large enough to pop about 1/3 cup of popcorn in one batch.
The stainless steel Zippy Pop is induction capable.
“Thanks for great service. I really appreciate the way you got my order to me so quickly. I'll certainly order from you in the future.”

By Judith L H. in BC on 10/18/2017 - Verified BuyerI had an aluminium one that was similar to this, but it had a crank handle. Popped popcorn was forever getting stuck underneath the paddles and so it would burn. This one is raised far enough so that doesn't happen. This lid is heavy enough to stay on. It cleans up easily and I love the idea that I can put everything - but especially the lid with the spinner - in the dishwasher so that it won't get any built up oil on it. I haven't tried any other flavours than salt & butter, but it mixed it through thoroughly without the popcorn being soggy or too salty. I'm very happy that I bought this one!
Update: Now that I’ve had this for a few months, I’m still happy with it and would buy it again.6 out of 6 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Raymond G. in CO on 1/14/2017 - Verified BuyerThis is the one stove-top popper that works with an induction range. It's solid and makes great popcorn.4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Charles S. in MO on 4/11/2016 - Verified BuyerIt works good but needs more venting to get rid of moisture when popping and the blade doesn't get close to the side of the pot (they are likely using the same blade for both sizes). They should make a deluxe version twice as high with upgrade blade and it would be the bomb. This is probably the best thing going for the price as of now.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. By Haim T. in TX on 11/16/2016 - Verified BuyerOverall the popper did the job I intended it for - roasting coffee beans. The biggest difficulty was to calibrate temperature profile inside the pot bottom. I found that the temperature gradient from the center to the outside perimeter is close to 100F. In other words when the temperature at the center reached 450F it was still ~350F along the edge. I was using it on electric stove, and was surprised that the thermal conductivity of the pot bottom was so low. The information regarding coffee bean roasting is almost unavailable, except a few forum postings with personal experience. I contacted the customer service at ZIPPY and they referred me to a video posted on Youtube. Unfortunately it had no information on coffee roasting. After a couple of burnt batches I finally got a profile that produced great results. A few findings: the stove settings are MID; it took 10 minutes to get to 420F; Minimum amount of coffee is 14 oz; Need very good ventilation to remove smoke; The paddles/blades push some coffee to the side - had to shake the pot to get them involved. The bottom line - the popper was not designed for coffee roasting, but can be successfully used to produce good roast. Redesign of blades would make a huge difference,2 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Andrea . in MN on 12/1/2019 - Verified BuyerI have a large family. We used this pot 3 different nights, but each night would make about 6 batches.. We’ve had it a week.
First the knob came off while tuning on the 2nd night using it.
The third night the whole turning mechanism came apart. Trying to tighten that up to finish making popcorn when it’s all hot is horrible. Did get it tightened just to have it all come apart again when making anouther batch.
I waited a month for this, there were problems with getting it sent to me and mixups. Was really excited. Was this review helpful to you?
