The toggle for the thickness setting broke. Its completely made out of plastic, so you must be careful how you turn it
Good quality and easy to use and cleanup. Very fast turn around and shipment from PHG. Great price.
Great quality, easy to clean (dish-washer safe), very useful product. The hand guard safely holds produce and allow slicing it entirely. The blades are sharp and allow thin slicing of even difficult produce such as leeks. Excellent addition of a slicing tool (and replacement of a less effective one) to my kitchen.
The PL8 mandoline is great! Easy to use and to clean. First time use, I cut carrots and shredded potatoes for hash browns. I recommend it highly.
So far I've only used the slicer for potatoes and found it works great. It's a quick and easy way to slice lots of potatoes!
This is so helpful for me, I am in my upper 70's and it does what I can no longer do. I have only started using it and I am delighted to be able to have the capablities of my prior years.
A lot better than the old one I had. No loose parts (slicing blade inserts) to worry about or lose.
The Professional Mandoline is just the ticket for evenly slicing for dehydrating foods. Makes it SO much faster & easier! Love the sturdiness of this mandoline, easy to set to desired cut & width.
Over the years I owned several mandolines and this one beats them all. I've paid a lot more for several of those others, too.
I feel like Pleasant Hill Grain over-sold and under-delivered on this and other items I purchased. This was just okay and not an amazing product like PHG claims for all the products it carriers. I trusted what they said, but now I wish I would have shopped around and compared features of other mandolines on the market.
