The WonderMill grain mill uses recently-developed "high speed microburst" milling technology that bursts grain kernels into flour. Stainless steel fins in the milling chamber impact the grain at extremely high speed, and the WonderMill's adjustment knob allows you to select your desired texture setting, from super fine flour to a coarser meal texture. The WonderMill electric grain mill grinds at temperatures that preserve nutrients, ensuring that you'll always have the perfect flour for your food. Imagine your favorite recipes made with the great taste and nutrition of 100% whole grain goodness—the WonderMill makes it possible!

The WonderMill grinds wheat, rice, corn and small grains such as quinoa and amaranth, and also does an outstanding job of grinding beans and legumes. The WonderMill is great for making gluten-free flours such as brown rice, white rice, sorghum, quinoa, soy, millet, amaranth, bean, corn, chickpeas/garbanzos, and more. Chef Brad's Gluten-Free Rice Bread made with freshly ground brown rice flour works great using the WonderMill grain mill. Read the WonderMill grinding list here.

With its 1250 watt motor, you can't buy a more powerful micronizing mill. With its exceptionally strong motor, the WonderMill grinds over 100 lbs. of flour per hour.

Two fin-studded, precision stainless steel plates (pictured above) fit together, with the left plate rotating at thousands of RPM's. The WonderMill can easily be adjusted to grind fine, coarse, or anywhere in between.

The WonderMill electric grain mill is extremely easy to use: Simply choose your grinding preference, fill the hopper, switch the machine on, and out comes your flour! There are no small parts or gaskets to misplace, and advancements in the Wonder Mill's design mean you can turn the mill off even while it's milling, then turn it back on to continue milling. After use, the WonderMill milling heads quickly and easily self-clean themselves, and they do a virtually dust-free job of it. If you'd like to freeze or transport flour, an optional flour bagger accessory even lets you grind straight into bags. The flour bowl easily detaches from the milling assembly for easy storage.

Hopper capacity is 8 cups; flour bowl capacity is 16 cups. The flour bowl easily detaches from the milling assembly for easy storage.

Our customers have been very pleased with their WonderMills, and we think you would be too—whether you're looking for a wheat grinder, a corn grinder, or a flour grinder for gluten-free grain. If you have questions about the WonderMill or any other milling-related topic you'd like to vist about, please give us a call. We'd be happy to help in any way we can, and we really look forward to serving you!

WHOLE GRAIN NUTRITION: HARVEST THE BENEFITS!

Imagine that for years, your children ate mainly candy. Imagine that you did, too. Imagine an entire nation on a candy diet. Imagine the health consequences.

Whole grain pancakes Natural whole grains contain a myriad of health-essential nutrients, from proteins to vitamins and amino acids. But "white flour" consists only of the starchy endosperm of the wheat kernel. In its natural form the endosperm provides wholesome energy, but it's the least nutrient-rich part of the grain. Removed are the nutrient-packed bran, wheat germ, and wheat germ oil. Then to make it extra white, industrial processors go further, chemically bleaching it, and returning just enough of a few vitamins to stave off beriberi and rickets. They're allowed to call the end product "Enriched Flour" but a truthful label would read "Impoverished Flour." This snow white, denutritionalized substance is a commodity worth billions of dollars annually to its merchandisers because of a commercially useful trait: Unlimited shelf life. No matter how long it sits in the mass distribution channel, it can't go bad precisely because there's actually nothing left in it that can go bad. Nutritionally, it's bad when bagged. A few companies have grown enormously rich marketing this pseudo-food on the basis of convenience, ease, and its dazzling white appearance. But a blind eye was turned to the consequences of replacing real whole grain flour with something that looks special, yet is virtually devoid of nutrition. In essence, candy. So widely has this nutritional travesty become accepted that we call it—and think of it as—wheat flour. But to depart further from natural grain flour would scarcely be possible. Then to make matters worse, artificial sweeteners, flavors and colors, appetite stimulants and preservatives are added to many of our foods. "Artificial" tells you those things aren't naturally food. But have you ever wondered what they actually are , then ? Did you know some of them are actually petroleum derivatives? And what unintended side effects might those complex counterfeit compounds have on us?

The human body is an absolute marvel; scientists have a long way to go to understand a tenth of how we work. But as capable and as resilient as our bodies are, common sense and history teach that we need wholesome, nutritious food to remain healthy and strong. The denatured byproducts being mass marketed today don't provide what we need, because they've been profoundly altered by processes in which real nutrition is considered last, or not at all.

Homemade artisan whole grain breads There's a great solution to this problem. By grinding grains in your kitchen and using the whole grain flour while it's fresh, you get the nutrition needed for strength and health. You also get far tastier food, with genuine character—incomparably more satisfying than today's mass marketed pretenders. After transitioning to whole grains, putting out a plate of white styro-bread will elicit comments like "Why are you giving us this ... and where's the good stuff ?". Even flour labeled as "whole grain" in stores falls far short of what you can easily grind yourself, because unless it's ground while you wait, the essential Vitamin E in true whole grain flour would go rancid in days (meaning that it's probably been removed), and all nutrients begin steadily oxidizing-away from exposure to oxygen as soon as grain is milled. What's in those bags is not whole grain flour if it's been sitting on a shelf for even a few days; that's literally impossible.

Making real food is more than doable, it's downright fun with help from Pleasant Hill Grain! A grain mill is the place to start. And to make whole grain bread quickly, easily and with consistently wonderful results, nothing beats a quality stand mixer that's capable of mixing and kneading bread that's ready to pop in the oven—quickly and without hand kneading. These machines make it easy to turn the corner to a far better and more enjoyable way of eating!

The WonderMill flour bagger also fits the Whisper Mill grain mill.

Small Grains & Bean Adapter for WonderMill

The small grains and bean adapter set for the WonderMill grain mill allows you to pour small grains (items like amaranth and quinoa), and beans (such as garbanzo beans) into the hopper all at once, rather than having to manually meter them in slowly. These simple attachments automatically meters the flow at the correct rate. Without this attachment, extra-small grains and large beans can clog the milling heads.

These adapters also work for the older Whisper Mill.

It Works
By Robert C. in CA on 2/22/2016 Verified Buyer

I bought this for making real, 100% whole wheat bread. It works quickly, grinding three cups of wheat in about two minutes. The two parts will stack together and fit under our cabinets. It's rather noisy when it's on and grinding, but it's quick. Make sure you have the top of the receiving unit on tight and have the filter on, or you'll have flour all over the place. I recommend Peter Reinhart's "Whole Grain Breads," for great, two-day whole wheat recipes... fantastic, healthy bread.

Fast and Clean!
By Myrna H. in WI on 5/02/2016 Verified Buyer

I was shocked at how clean the grinding process was. Another mill we used we had to take outside because of the flour dust. This was fast, clean, and FUN! I love it!

Super Easy To Use
By Donald F. in FL on 7/25/2016 Verified Buyer

I bake for a living and wanted to mill my own flour with as little effort as possible. This is the easiest, least complicated piece of equipment I've found. It mills so fast and the finished product is amazing. For the price don't wait if you're considering purchasing the Wonder Mill. It mills beautiful flour that is healthy and nutritious.

Fast and quieter
By Allen V. in UT on 12/04/2016 Verified Buyer

After 30 plus years, our old Magic Mill finally gave out. It also pulverized grain instead of grinding just like our new WonderMill, except the WonderMill is faster, quieter, and it does not spread flour around the working area. We inadvertently over-filled input hopper thereby over-filling the receiving container and forcing us to turn off the mill while there was still grain in the hopper. The instructions clearly warn against doing this. It trips the little breaker on the bottom. But by following the vendor's instructions in emptying hopper and resetting the breaker, everything worked as it should. To avoid over-filling the receiving container, I suggest emptying the receiving container after grinding six or seven cups of hard grains, which is the amount that can be ground in under 3 minutes.

Fast and quiet!
By Linda A. in MN on 6/03/2016 Verified Buyer

I used to grind grain with my Kitchen Aid heavy duty mixer with the grain grinding attachment and it worked fine for one loaf of whole wheat bread. I recently retired and decided to start making all our bread. My Kitchen Aid was overheating and I realized I was asking too much of it. I chose the WonderMill over the Nutrimill because it was said to have less mess. It's SO fast and quiet compared to mu Kitchen Aid. I'm sorry I didn't make the investment years ago. Well worth the spend!

Today in my kitchen!
By Candace W. in NH on 2/16/2016 Verified Buyer

I've been buying Ezekiel bread at a local grocery chain and decided to make it myself. After going online,I found that WonderMill had a very high rating and decided to purchase it. It was taken out of its box today and I was very pleased with how wonderfully it ground all of the various grains and legumes, even the kidney beans. The bread is in the oven as I write and I can't wait to see how it came out. WonderMill is a winner!

Wonder Mill
By Roy B. in PA on 7/29/2016 Verified Buyer

Up until now I had been grinding with a hand mill from PHG. which worked fine but was very slow and my hands just hurt too much. Being a purist it was somewhat difficult to go electric, but it is so practical, especially since I bake for my small community. It's not that loud, it's an appliance, on for a few minutes to grind a ton of flour. It's just great and the texture on the medium setting is perfect for bread

Fast, fine flour
By Marsha G. in WY on 3/09/2016 Verified Buyer

This will NOT grind course enough for breakfast cereal, but for bread flour, it's great. There is not a huge difference in the three settings, so we just use the pastry setting for all of our wheat so that our breads come out soft. We use a separate grinder for our cereals. I can't say if this is better or worse than other top mills, but for fine flours, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. It's great.

Best mill for the price!
By Nadine P. in WA on 9/08/2015 Verified Buyer

I love my Wondermill! I use it multiple times during the week. Mainly for grains for breads and pastry, but I have also used it to make bean flour to use as a thickener. The mill works beautifully, is easy to use and doesn't take up too much space on the counter. I definitely recommend it!

Best wheat grinder ever! !
By Jennifer S. in IN on 11/15/2015 Verified Buyer

My last grinder, although it had a different name at the time, was identical to my new one. It lasted me fifteen years of heavy use grinding consistently every time. When it finely ground itself to death I immediately replaced it with the same type of grinder. Excellent.

Moderator : Jennifer: The WonderMill actually has major improvements over the design of the earlier Whisper Mill, including a precracker that eliminates virtually all of the old plugging problems and a much more powerful motor, among others. Thanks for your review, we appreciate it!
