Originally, the company name was spelled “Uuni” but as the company grew Kristian and Darina realized that the name presented challenges; many customers didn't know how to pronounce or spell it! In an effort to provide clarity, they changed the spelling from “Uuni” to “Ooni” in 2018. The pronunciation remained the same, “oo-nee”. They’re transitioning their products from the old spelling to the new spelling, so you’ll continue to see the “Uuni” spelling on some products until they finish the rebranding process.

Their newest model, the Ooni Electric can be operated both indoors and outdoors! The Karu 12G is another new oven in their lineup, and is their most versatile option. Burn either wood or charcoal in the Karu, or add the optional gas burner for even more flexibility!
