TSM D-20 Stainless NSF Commercial Dehydrator
The NSF-certified stainless steel TSM D-20 dehydrator is manufactured in the USA to meet the needs of small commercial food drying operations. Its programmable solid state control system allows you to create up to six custom drying programs, with each program consisting of as many as three separate temperature, time and fan-speed steps (high/med/low) speeds.
Custom programs let you tailor settings to the exact needs of the food or other material you're drying, and to process repeat batches without having to re-enter settings. A large touch screen control and LCD digital display with easy to follow prompts makes it easy to select settings, and settings can be edited on-the-fly at any time.
The D-20 commercial dehydrator features 1" thick insulation on top, bottom and sides to increase operating efficiency, reducing your operating cost. It will achieve a temperature of 150° F in 3 hours or less for fast, efficient jerky drying. Air flow is from back to front for even results. The front door is a removable 2-piece unit, making it easier to clean. The inner portion of the front door channels moisture through the perforations, while the outer section creates a barrier which makes moisture collection possible. A Hygrometer is included for monitoring humidity levels

The unit has 52 square feet of drying area on 20 large rectangular wire dehydrating racks. Fully electric operation. Smooth electronic control panel wipes clean with damp cloth. Dehydrator's internal temperature range is 84° to 180°F for safe & efficient drying of all types of food. Temperature is adjustable in 1° increments and is maintained to +/- 1° of the setting
Spacing between racks is 1.25". Any number of racks can be removed to create a drying cavity with fewer racks but more space between racks.

It has plenty of volume, and the fans are reliable and provide a consistent flow of warm air. It has good-sized racks, plenty of room to place large piece of fruit. It runs quietly, too. We operate it for months at a time, so that's nice.
It's easy to program, fast and efficient to use, and very easy to clean. Just remove the racks, spray and wipe down side walls base etc., soak the racks, reinsert them and you're done.
The TSM D-20 dehydrator has eliminated our past concerns about being able to keep up with customer demand. I can’t think of anything I don’t like about the machine, it's wonderful.Was this review helpful to you?
By Gussie W., GA on 10/10/2015 - Verified BuyerWe dry a lot of deer meat during the season, October through January, and I'm extremely pleased with the TSM D-20 dehydrator for my small commercial business. It's built to last, and well worth the money.
It’s easy to use, easy to clean, hassle-free. I simply remove and soak the racks in soapy hot water then scrub them. Prior to placing the meat into the dehydrator, I spray Pam on the racks which helps keep the racks clean. I don’t have to do anything between cooking sessions. I just clean it and it is then ready to go. It's simple to load and unload the racks. I like that it's movable, and has a compact footprint.
I had a larger Cabela’s dehydrator which was slow it took 10-12 hours to complete a cycle this machine dehydrates the same quantity of meat in much less time, 3-4 hours.
I've learned not to overfill the machine. If you load too much into it the meat doesn't dry evenly and you have to rotate and redistribute the jerky every 2-3 hours. I had a problem with some wires burning out in a small wire box. I called and received a part which corrected the issue.
This dehydrator has been great for my deer meat processing business. Key thing is, it dries very fast. Greatly reducing the turnaround time for jerky has grown my customer base!Was this review helpful to you?
