Black garlic is, simply put, the product of aging regular garlic bulbs over the course of weeks or months. It requires strictly regulated temperature and humidity to achieve its sticky consistency.
This fully automatic garlic fermenter from Roots and Branches is easy to set up and operate. To use, place up to 3 pounds of garlic bulbs inside, select your desired fermentation time between 6-12 days (144-288 hours). The machine will turn off automatically when the time is up. If the power goes out during the fermentation, the fermenter will automatically enter the fermentation process where it left off, once electricity is restored. The inner pot liner helps keep the temperature consistent and it's easy to remove for cleaning. The door buckle ensures secure closure and the stainless steel rack allows for excellent air circulation and a uniform temperature throughout.
The Roots & Branches garlic fermenter can also be used to make yogurt, kimchi, fruit wine, natto, and vinegar, or for disinfecting non plastic household items. Automatic presets include: Black Garlic, Natto, Vinegar, Yogurt, Sweet Enzyme Wine, and Disinfection.
