Taco Dip

This taco dip recipe is easy to make and a real hit for a quick party snack or family fun day.

Ingredients:

  • Velveeta cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • Garlic powder
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 jar Old Elpaso taco sauce, mild, medium or hot (your choice)
  • Mild cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Tortilla chips

Directions:

  1. 1. Set oven to 350° F.
  2. 2. Line a 9 x 11 inch baking dish with Velveeta cheese and melt in the oven or microwave.
  3. 3. Cover cheese with sour cream and sprinkle a little garlic power on top of the sour cream.
  4. 4. Brown the hamburger in a skillet and drain, add the Old Elpaso taco sauce to the hamburger and then pour the mixture on top the of sour cream.
  5. 5. Cover with the shredded cheddar cheese and bake in the oven about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  6. 6. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!

Author's Notes:

Use as much cheese as you'd like for this recipe and make it as spicy as you prefer by using either mild, medium or hot taco sauce. I've tried other brands of taco sauce, but Old Elpaso is my favorite for this recipe.
