
Play Dough
Ingredients:
- 2 c. Unbleached White Flour
- 2 Tbsp. Alum
- 1-1/2 c. Water
- 1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 c. Salt
- Food Coloring
Directions:
- 1. Combine in a mixing bowl the flour and alum.
- 2. In a sauce pan, heat to boiling the remaining ingredients.
- 3. Stir the liquid mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients.
- 4. Knead until smooth.
- 5. Spread out on a flat surface to cool before allowing children to play with the dough.
- 6. Store in an airtight container.
Author's Notes:
Pull out the rolling pin and cookie cutters for a fun-filled play dough session. Use a Clip & Close Rectangular box with Inserts or the OXO Tot Baby Blocks containers to keep dough portions separate for siblings or to separate dough colors.
