Today we're shipping orders for in-stock items placed August 30. Despite higher order volume, our amazing shipping team continues to ship orders quickly. Recently we opened an additional shipping line that’s reducing processing time, and we've hired 15 new team members in the past 90 days! If you need to contact us, EMAIL is better than phone and if you have questions about your order please check our FAQ page before contacting us. Our phone volume is so high that it’s literally impossible for us to answer calls live now, or return calls quickly. The Hampton showroom is temporarily closed. We greatly appreciate your business as we do our very best to serve you!

Total Time

Ingredients:

  • 2 c. Unbleached White Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Alum
  • 1-1/2 c. Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 c. Salt
  • Food Coloring

Directions:

  1. 1. Combine in a mixing bowl the flour and alum.
  2. 2. In a sauce pan, heat to boiling the remaining ingredients.
  3. 3. Stir the liquid mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients.
  4. 4. Knead until smooth.
  5. 5. Spread out on a flat surface to cool before allowing children to play with the dough.
  6. 6. Store in an airtight container.

Author's Notes:

Pull out the rolling pin and cookie cutters for a fun-filled play dough session. Use a Clip & Close Rectangular box with Inserts or the OXO Tot Baby Blocks containers to keep dough portions separate for siblings or to separate dough colors. A Roul'Pat Counter Mat may be helpful under each little artist's work area to help you with clean up after the fun is done. Consider possible allergens when selecting dough ingredients!
