Ingredients:

  • 4 large ripe avocados
  • 1/2 c. white onion, diced
  • 1/2 c. Roma tomato, diced
  • 1 tbsp. jalapeño, diced (if you like your dip a little spicy)
  • 1/2 c. fresh cilantro, diced
  • 1/4 c. juice from a fresh lime
  • 1/2 tbsp. of Hellman's mayonnaise
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. 1. Slice the avocado open vertically and remove the pit. Scoop out the insides with a spoon and place in a bowl. Mash the avocado until you have a smooth, creamy texture.
  2. 2. Combine the onion, tomato and jalapeño with the mashed avocado.
  3. 3. Add the chopped cilantro, lime juice, mayo and salt. Stir together.
  4. 4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve.

Author's Notes:

I place the halved avocado in my hand and gently massage the skin before scooping it out with a spoon, this helps loosen it from its skin. This recipe tastes great on burgers, chicken and many other foods.
