Cooked sorghum is chewy, hardy, and has a pleasant, slightly sweet flavor. It makes a good side dish, like rice. Sorghum is gluten-free.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sorghum, rinsed
  • 1 qt water or stock of your choice
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. 1. In a sauce pan, combine rinsed sorghum with water or stock and salt.
  2. 2. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
