Clearance: Cyclone Electric Corn Sheller
This is an R1 clearance item. Please check the tables below to see how we rate our clearance items.
Tariffs could soon be imposed on three categories of PHG products: Fruit presses, fruit grinders, and corn shellers. Prices will jump sharply if this happens, so we encourage you not to wait once you’ve made a decision!
The Cyclone electric corn sheller makes fast work of removing corn kernels, and it's easy to use! Just slip dehusked ears of dry corn into the front opening, and in about 2-3 seconds the kernels of grain are removed. The sheller will process ears as fast as you can feed them in.
Cleaned cobs are ejected out the opening at the bottom end. Shelled corn exits through dual ports at the lower end of the sheller.
The separator works on ears of all sizes, and no adjustment is necessary for various ear sizes.
Ears of dent corn (field corn) of any size can be shelled.
“We'll do business with your company again because of your service and the well-made products.”
– Michael H., IL
The sheller's legs are adjustable for leveling and feature pivoting rubber feet. A durable powder coat finish keeps the sheller looking good.
A powerful 650 watt motor turns the corn sheller's rotor at 2,240 rpm, providing a shelling rate of up to 30 corn ears per minute!
Kernel removal is aggressive in the Cyclone corn sheller and some kernel cracking occurs, so it isn't recommended for saving seed to be planted.
If you're looking for a manual corn shelling option, see our Maximizer hand crank corn sheller.
The electric corn sheller is also known as a motor powered maize sheller, corn thresher, or corn huller.

Expanded Ratings Descriptions
|R1||Very close scrutiny is required to tell that the item isn’t brand new. Working surfaces may show slight wear; for example, the bottom-inside of a Bosch mixer bowl may show swirl marks because Bosch mixer whips are designed to “float” against bottom of bowl. Non-working surfaces (cabinet, control panel) look essentially new. Carton may not be perfect.|
|R2||Typically has a small scuff or mark on a non-working surface like a mixer cabinet or the top of a pressure cooker lid.|
|FR||Mostly returned items which have been brought fully up to new-equipment performance specs at the factory.|
|D||Demonstration items have been operated briefly at Pleasant Hill Grain.|
|DIS||These items have never been used but we no longer sell them at full price in our store because it was discontinued by us or by the manufacturer.|
|U||Has had light use.|
|SDB||Has moderate damage or blemish on a non-working surface, such as a scratch or dent in the housing, or paint blemish.|
|NOS||A brand new item that isn't the newest model.|

By Michael H. in IL on 4/12/2016 - Verified BuyerWe purchased the corn sheller and it worked good for about fifty ears of corn and the motor overheated. I called the company and they sent out a replacement immediately and it must have been a fluke thing with the first one because this one has worked great! The popcorn we had to send some through twice because of the small ear size but the blue corn and field corn went through without a problem. We did probably 100 lbs. of organic popcorn and about 600 ears of organic blue corn We will do business with this company again because of their service and the well made products. It saved us time and money!9 out of 10 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Michael H. in TX on 4/11/2016 - Verified BuyerWe are working in a society where little is know of machinery. The corn sheller is a blessing and a surprise to these people. Corn is shelled, boiled with white lime, it sits all night, washed in the morning, ground up in a machine to make masa, and finally made into corn tortillas. I am enjoying the surprise I see on their faces when they realize we can do in five minutes what normally would take them 45 minutes by hand. A truly great find and we appreciate the purchase so much.2 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
By Charles T. in PA on 4/11/2016 - Verified BuyerAfter removing a stray bolt from the interior it has gone on to shell about a couple tons or more ears of corn as fast as I can feed the ears! No other sheller on the market comes close to matching the price and work load of this sheller! I set it in the bottom half of a plastic dog house and use a plastic road apple (horse manure) fork to take out the cobs from the shelled corn.2 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Reuben D., TX on 5/19/2015 - Verified BuyerA simple, effective design, well constructed. Very reasonably priced for the way it goes through corn. Well protected for shipping too. Great buy.2 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Gunthar R., TX on 3/31/2019 - Verified BuyerHaving used it for a while now, it's worth more than I paid. Smooth-running, it's a real time saver for us.Was this review helpful to you?
By Chuck T., NC on 1/31/2019 - Verified BuyerYour videos don't exaggerate, I can't put ears in as fast as the Cyclone will remove the grain. It's fast, solid, and really couldn't be easier to use. Ordering was clear and easy, processing and shipping were shockingly fast, and the machine was very well (double) boxed to arrive damage-free. Value for the price is excellent, IMO. Is there anything more to ask for? Not that I can think of.Was this review helpful to you?
By Alan W. in KS on 1/25/2019 - Verified BuyerWe bought this to process organic popcorn. It was a if help and saved us a lot of time. The machine isn’t perfect for popcorn with the smaller cob sizes, we had to run some of the cobs through twice to get all the grain removed. We also had to some lock tight on one of the pulleys, but overall I’m very happy with the purchase, it was way faster and easier than stripping cobs by hand or with a crank type machine. You won’t be disappointed.Moderator:
Thanks for your review, Alan! FYI, we have now corrected the need to Loctite the pulley. Was this review helpful to you?
