Here's the newest add-on for the Country Living Grain Mill: The Peanut Butter Plus accessory. Grinding your own nut butters is now fast and easy!
The attachment grinds peanuts, cashews, pecans, walnuts, pistachios and macadamia nuts. Roasted nuts provide the best results. Peanuts can be processed whole; other nuts need to be broken or chopped into halves or smaller pieces. Sometimes you can purchase lower-priced nut grades that are already in smaller pieces, otherwise they can be chopped in a food processor or blender, first. The lower the oil content of a nut is, the stiffer the result will be; almonds, for example, make a thick paste. If you want to increase spreadability of those drier nuts, you can easily do that by stirring in a little bit of your favorite food oil.
Chunky style nut butter can be made by mixing some chopped nuts into your nut butter, after milling.
Coffee can be ground to a coarse texture. It can also be ground to a fine texture, but when operating the mill by hand, for fine texture it's necessary to dribble the coffee beans in, because turning effort will be too high if you fill the hopper with coffee beans.
Hand or electric: The Peanut Butter Plus attachment works by hand operation, or in conjunction with the CLM's available motor drive.
You can convert your mill back to a grain grinder at any time, by reinstalling the standard grinding plates. We've found that the switchover takes about three to five minutes.
As with all CLM items, this is a very high quality attachment that's nice to use and produces excellent quality results.

Nothing like fresh peanut butter. Also try mixed nuts if you want a real gourmet butter!
I ordered the peanut butter + the same day I ordered the Country Living Grain Mill. I received the peanut butter +, packaged very well. The grain mill never came and after 3 delivery dates past and the 4th was changed to "out of stock" I gave up canceled the order, sent the peanut butter + back.
This worked perfectly. It makes the best peanut butter, cashew butter, etc. I initially bought the Wonder Jr. but it did not work like advertised when it came to making peanut butter. The peanut butter parts were easy to install and produced any style nut butter that you want.
Delivered on time, good price, it does the job very well.
Works very well.
With the standard Country Living Grain Mill, small soft wet kernels would gum up and not move through the mill. The peanut accessory pushes though the material even when wet.
Solidly built, easy to install and clean. This butter maker is a must have. You already grind your own flour, don't stop there! Great addition to My Country Living Grain mill. I absolutely love them both.
I bought this accessory after owning the grain mill with motor for several months. It does create great peanut butter, but you have to be patient. If I want it creamy, I have to tighten down the gap to as closed as it will go, since it’s not actually a perfect fit between the surfaces. You also have to use the plunger to continuously press the peanuts down as they are being pressed. The need for the plunger seems to be extra work that could be avoided if someone could invent a device that would put constant pressure on the contents for you. (Note that no such plunger is needed for milling grains.). Nevertheless, it does work as long as YOU’RE engaged. I bought bulk roasted peanuts from the local health food store, and my wife and friends say it’s the best peanut butter they’ve ever tasted.
