Shelf Life

The shelf life of this high quality canned tuna is a minimum of six years, and likely twice that long, provided that the can isn't compromised by corrosion or other damage from outside. We’ve never had a customer complain about any degradation of taste or texture over any period of time. For some reason, Natural Sea puts a much shorter “best by” date on the cans (just months), but they themselves state a shelf life of six years. This “best by” dating contradicts the experience that both we and our customers have had with the tuna for years. If the shorter “best by” date concerns you, we can only recommend that you don’t order the product. We think their “best by” date is simply inappropriate.
