Meadows is the premier U.S. stone-burr grain mill for making genuine stone-ground flour. Their design and construction reflects over eighty years of refinement and proven reliability. Meadows stone burr grist mills are available in a wide range of sizes and capacities. Models are identified by the diameter of the grinding stones, in inches. The table below lists the available sizes and approximate capacity under normal grinding conditions with dry grains such as wheat, or corn. All mills feature stainless steel feed assemblies and poly or stainless hoppers. Full stainless steel housings are available in the 20" and 30" mills. The Meadows 12" Natural Series II stone burr mill, seen on this page, produces 110 to 190 lbs. of flour per hour, depending on the texture selected.

Meadows mills arrive assembled except to mount hopper, ready to wire into electric service and put to use. Operation is extremely simple, and flour output is of the highest quality. Nutrient content is fully preserved by the natural cool milling action of the large stone burrs. North Carolina Balfour granite stones have high quartz content for superior abrasive qualities and extremely long life—most users get lifetime service from the original stones. Eccentric sifters are available to sift and separate flour if desired.

For the 12" Natural Series II mill; price includes: mill, motor, magnetic starter, adjustable height mount (61.25" to 67.5"), 1 bushel stainless hopper, pulleys, belts, belt guard, product 200 degree F. thermometer, two pivoting 3" casters, two non-pivoting 3" casters, 28 gallon size Rubbermaid brute container with lid and dolly and one tube of food grade grease. NOTE: When ordering the Material Handling Fan option, the 28 gallon size Rubbermaid brute container with lid and dolly are not included. Magnetic motor starters are shipped unmounted and require wiring to the motor and power supply by local qualified electrician. Crating fee for the 12" mill, less accessory equipment, is $100.

An accessory material handling fan (air conveyor) is available to move ground product to a holding bin. When the 12" mill is equipped with a material handling fan, two motors are used: a 5 HP motor powers the mill and a 3 HP motor powers the material handling fan, moving the product away from the mill and through the air conveyor to a product collector.

The air conveyor improves mill output production and can be set up to move product to the Eccentric sifter. The air conveyor consists of a transition from a side discharge on the 12" mill, where product is pulled into a material handling fan turning at 3,600 rpm. A 3HP motor drives the material handling fan. Once the product is pulled in and through the material handling fan, the fan will then move the product through a 4" pipe up and away from the mill to a stand mounted material collecting cyclone with a side mounted dust bag filter. The material handling fan transition is painted to match the mill. The 4" pipe and material collecting cyclone are made of steel and have a shiny appearance. The air conveyor option must be added with the 12" mill at the time of purchase.

I'm extremely happy with the Meadows 12” mill. I think it's ideal for anyone needing flour such as a small sized bakery. We moved up from a smaller Meadows grinder for increased flour output. With the 12” mill, the new table design, and the way the Rubbermaid brute containers form a tight seal with the table below the mill discharge area, there's a nice reduction in the dust created from the flour with this new design of table.

The mill is very easy to clean, maintenance is the low, and given the construction, this mill will last for a long time.

There's really nothing about this Meadows mill that I don't like. I can now produce more flour for my store and I will eventually be able to grow my business through demand for the product and achieve my desired annual sales goal. It's fantastic.
