Maple Valley Organic Maple Syrup, Grade A Dark Robust

Maple Valley Organic Grade A Dark Robust (formerly Grade B) syrup is a blend of sap harvested in the late part of maple season. It’s dark in color with a deep, robust maple flavor. Many use this dark, robust syrup for pancakes, waffles and baking. Non-GMO.

Grade B maple syrup didn’t disappear, but it has been renamed. The USDA is now calling what was Grade B, "Grade A Dark Robust." A red seal stating "Formerly Grade B" is on all of Maple Valley’s new Grade A Dark Robust labels.

Maple syrup is not only deliciously sweet, but it's also extremely good for you! Researchers recently dubbed it a "superfood" after they isolated 54 health-enhancing compounds, including five that are found only in pure maple syrup. Many of these compounds are anti-inflammatory agents that actually help fight chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

With fewer calories than either sugar or honey, maple syrup helps promote a healthy weight. Zinc and manganese are particularly important because both are important immune system builders.

Maple syrup is minimally processed; it's simply natural tree sap that's been boiled down to reduce its water content and concentrate its sugars.
