The perfect apple cider press for everyone's back yard!
Turn your apples into delicious juice... and unforgettable family memories... with the MacIntosh apple cider press exclusively from Pleasant Hill Grain. With solid heavy duty construction, this press is built for quick and easy operation, and many years of reliable, trouble-free service.
Fast tip-off design: The frame yoke of the MacIntosh apple cider press quickly tips out of your way for easy basket loading and unloading access. The speed and convenience of this design makes everything work faster and easier.
Best materials: With its rugged yoke made of 1.5" steel tubing, stainless steel pressing basket and heavy gauge stainless steel pan, the MacIntosh cider press is built throughout with quality components that make it a joy to handle every time you use it. When shipped, the press legs are bolted down to a wooden board which you can use as a base, or reuse/recycle. The board prevents leg damage during shipment.
There are presses on the market that look similar to the MacIntosh, but aren't as strong. At Pleasant Hill Grain we refine our product designs continually, often in ways that don't meet the eye. Our MacIntosh has extra reinforcement under the tray to withstand higher force, allowing you to get more juice from your fruit without damaging the press.

Apple Grinders |
![]() |
As with any press, to get good juice yield from apples you need to pulp them first. Proper pulping lets you get three to four times as much juice from the apples, compared to pressing the fruit whole. Our Maximizer™ apple grinder and Electric Apple Grinder are both excellent choices. |

Used it first to squeeze honey out honeycomb, worked great.
I got this to process apples for wine making and it exceeds expectations. Works well, and is very durable. Awesome purchase!
This is the second press we purchased which tells you we love it. We press the apples of 20 apple trees so we wanted a second press to speed the process. The apple grinder we purchased last year was also the perfect tool that doubled our output! Don't miss out on adding the grinder to your process.
I received my press and wanted to inform you, I'm fully pleased and satisfied with my purchase. I want to commend your sales associate, “Bonnie”, who assisted me. She was more focused, I felt, in getting the customer what they wanted than making a sale. She stopped our conversation to ask another person if my press would work on berries with the mesh bag. The press works even better than I had hoped. Thank You again. I will use your company again in the future!
First, this press was shipped and packaged far faster and better than I expected. The press is mounted on a 1/2 inch thick OSB panel with heavy duty cardboard and air pillows for additional support. Second, the stainless steel basket and bottom drip pan are made of heavy gauge material. The screw moved without any catching and the press plate was centered. The paint was in excellent shape and the machine is well balanced. Best press I have used (including the one I made as a group in my high school welding class.
The MacIntosh Apple Cider Press with Stainless Basket is an excellent product! Simple solid construction and carefree efficient operation, results in excellent juice! I highly recommend the MacIntosh Apple Cider Press to family and friends.
Press was shipped fast and arrived in good shape. It's made of very heavy duty steel. I was impressed with how heavy the press is and seems like it will hold up. I debated between the wooden basket and steel basket version and very happy with the stainless steel basket. The stainless steel drip pan is also very useful and easy to clean. Cleanup is so much easier with this press since you need to just hose the whole thing down. I would recommend buying the food grade grease. The press did not ship with enough grease on it and had to grease it up. Plan to grease is every year before use and should not be an issue. I have pressed about 11 gals of apple cider with this press so far this week and hopefully will have many more gallons in the future. Now if I could only find more free apples...
We only have two small apple trees in our yard. My wife and I have been making wine and cider from them for the past 7 years. We were pressing the juice out by hand figuring we didn't have enough apples to justify an actual press. If you have done this it's not easy work. I seen the price of this fruit press and figured it was worth a shot. I should have done this years ago. We had poor apple crop this year but using this press we have already gotten more pure apple juice than we have in past good years and we are only 2/3's of the way done. The best part is that we have done this in about a quarter of the time it used to take. I'm no expert but I can't say enough about this press.
Its very good but I wish the basket had a tighter fit, so the fruit does not wedge in between the basket wall and the pressing disk.
Got the Macintosh Press at a reasonable price earlier than expected packed very well for a safe shipment. Haven't tested it yet since I'm waiting for the wine grapes season to start in couple of weeks even though is advertised for apples. From what I see I'm not expecting any surprises. Thank you Pleasant Hill Grain.
