A glass lid is included with Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker sets but they're available for other Kuhn Rikon cookers as well. Glass lids are for non-pressure use. Great for taking your Kuhn Rikon straight to the serving area. Gracefully domed shape with attractive, comfortable handle.

Kuhn Rikon Glass Lids

My husband has three of these pressure cookers and uses at least one a day. Sometimes he uses them as regular pots and doesn’t have a normal lid to fit them. When I saw these glass lids, I had to purchase one for each size pot. He was so excited when he opened the box. The lids work great and best of all, they fit the pots! He likes the ability to see in the pots when he’s cooking regular food in them, as well. These are the only pots he ever uses and I’m thrilled he now has matching regular glass lids. As an added bonus, they look nice on the pots when he’s cooking and serving from them. Thank you Pleasant Hill Grain Company and Kuhn Rikon!

This lid is a perfect fit for all Kuhn Rikon 28cm pans. It’s so nice to be able to use the pressure lid for part of the cooking time, remove that lid, and finish up the cooking with this glass lid.

I bought my Kuhn Rikon Pressure cooker when I moved to Western Colorado (6,600 feet) 10 years ago. I use it almost every day for brown rice, beans, potatoes, stocks, etc. Finally decided to get a glass lid when I replaced my first gasket. Amazing product. Pleasant Hill is also amazing. When I bought my grain mill from PH I thought I was getting very crunchy - but found out all my neighbors have milled their grain for years.

Handy if you want to use your pressure cooker as a braisier

While it won't work for "pressure cooking," it's a great lid if you want to turn your Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker into a braisier for braising or roasting. I like it because, being glass, you can easily see how your food is coming along without having to lift it off. (Like the old adage; "If you're looking, you're not cooking.") Every time you lift the lid, (just like "fanning an oven door," to check on how it's coming along,) you lose heat, extend your cooking time, waste energy, and just upset the whole temp/time calcs.

With the clear lid, you can see without lifting it off, and this lid not only allows you to use your pressure cooker for "double duty" as both a pressure cooker and a covered pot. It also fits both the small and large Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers, because they both have the same lid size.
