Clearance: Electric Apple Grinder
This is an R1 clearance item. Please check the table below to see how we rate our clearance items.
Note: The product images on this page are of a new item, with the exception of any images marked “Clearance item”.

Our all-stainless electric apple grinder (aka apple crusher/pulper/pulverizer/masher) makes fine pulp of your apples, allowing your apple or fruit press to extract the maximum yield of delicious juice. With an updated baffle design in the feed chute, it will take whole apples, large or small, poured rapidly down the chute. It works equally well for pears and other soft, pitless fruit. Compared to pressing whole apples, this electric apple grinder lets you get up to four times as much juice from your fruit!
Sturdy & Corrosion-Free
All structural and contact parts are made from industrial grade AISI 304 stainless steel for long life and quick, easy cleanup. All construction is heavy-duty and rugged.
Powerful Motor
A hefty 2 hp (3,400 rpm) motor provides unlabored operation and years of reliable use. It grinds a pound of fruit per second to a perfect pulp for pressing!
Safety First
A lockout switch in the base of the unit requires the hopper/blade cover to be in place, or power will not be supplied to the motor. Baffles in the chute prevent hand contact with blades.
Home-Orchard or Community Group
Our electric apple grinder is perfect for the serious home-orchard owner or community group. The electric apple grinder is also known as a fruit crusher, pulverizer, masher, pulper, chopper, shredder, and electric apple scratter.

I bought this apple grinder to process about ten tons of apples that we do every fall. It's absolutely perfectly balanced and unbelievably powerful. It processes the fruit like it's nothing and really moves the job forward. Best money I've spent on our family cider tradition! No regrets whatsoever!
We loved this machine once we figured out to turn it on, but the trouble-shooting was stressful because what was wrong with it was not in the trouble-shooting menu. We could not get the machine to turn on because the safety switch was not properly compressed due to the way we installed the bolt. Yes, the only reference to this safety switch is under #4 of the operating instructions and that instruction does not reference the consequence of not having that switch compressed by the bolt. Since the machine must be assembled by removing and replacing all of the bolts and nuts, this mistake in terms of safety switch compression is easy to make. A graphic that labels all of the parts should also be included, making it clear that the safety switch is not a reset switch and must be compressed for the machine to run.
I make pear wine, My wife is very conservative and does not want to spend money, but I was tired of hand cutting five bushels of pears at a time. I bought your electric fruit crusher. After the first time using it my wife is glad we spent the money. It does everything as advertised. We're starting a small fruit winery and I'm doing a lot of searching for the right equipment to purchase at a fair price. This was the right decision.
Pour the apples down the chute and WHOOSH they're pulped so fast you can't believe it. I appreciate the heavy duty construction too, even the chute is rigid, not tinny. The pulp consistency is ideal. Just a great machine, very well worth it.
This grinder is awesome! I got the grinder in conjunction with a hydro press and they are an amazing team. I got into the habit of duct taping a plastic curtain on the back and two sides of the chute. This prevented the mush from getting on the motor or escaping the collection pot, making for no mess, and easier clean-up. I ground apples, pears, and quince with great success. Don't think I could ever grind apples by hand again.
Works well for our startup cidery! Will have to upgrade at some point but this will give us room to grow.
Much better then the meat grinder I started out with. This grinder goes through apples as fast as I can load them. Makes a nice mash that's easy to squeeze.
This electric apple grinder is simply fantastic! It performs far beyond expectations; everything is made of durable, easy-to-clean stainless steel; it should last for literally generations to come. I just can't say enough good things about it. It would be a bargain at any price, because there is simply nothing like it for its purpose of grinding apples. A wonderful machine!
Great for getting through a lot of apples and making a perfect mash for cider. Just four stars instead of five as it's pricey. A bit labor intensive to clean at the end... do it right away. So glad to have gotten a new one, no more apples bouncing back... no stick pushing etc.
A really good fruit grinder for small batch cider making. As long as you don't dump a bushel of apples into the hopper at one time, this grinder purrs like a kitten. You can jam the grinder if you overload the hopper which can be a pain as the hopper is attached to the grinder by 4 bolts and 4 wingnuts. If it jams, it means shutting down the power, disconnecting the power source (safety first), unscrewing each wingnut, disassembling the hopper from the grinder... well you get the drift, it is a royal PIA! But if you go slow and steady and don't overwhelm the chute it works like a beauty.
