Sliced deli meats

Slice meat, cheese, bread, vegetables and fruit quickly and easily with this quality slicer. The 609A features precision depth control and a strong, high quality 100 watt gearmotor. Micrometer control dial selects slices from deli-thin to half-inch or thicker. Large multipurpose 7-inch stainless steel blade handles a wide range of food sizes and shapes. Parts remove easily for cleaning. Serving tray included.

The Model 609A slicer is gear driven, so there's no belt to slip under load.

Great food slicer

It is a fantastic piece of equipment for the home. It cut hot homemade bread magnificently without tearing. Most importantly customer service was one of the best, like Cuisinart. Pleasant Hill Grain takes care of their customers. I can not say enough good about the way I was treated.

I've used it twice so far. It slices with ease. I'm very satisfied with the results. It's very easy to take apart and clean. It cut rump roast thinly for my beef jerky. And I like the way it cut my ham. It’s saving money. I recommend highly to everyone. And I like it’s size. Definitely perfect for the home user.

Just tried it the other day to make ulu chips. It worked well, got the sharpener so was able to sharpen it before it was put away. For the price it did better than I was hoping for. Hope to cut some deer for BBQ and jerky this weekend.

I had an ancient Krupp’s slicer that fought me every time I tried to use it. It had a safety feature that required you to hold down a switch while the machine was operating. The switch was just about gone, and I had to exert such force while slicing, it was really annoying. I had been halfheartedly looking at slicers and decided to visit PHG because products I purchase here are always great quality and value. And this slicer does not disappoint. I was slicing chicken breasts for dehydrating, and this slicer made it such an easy task, even though I had not given time for the chicken to freeze! And the clean up was made easy too with the detachable plate and meat diverter flap. I am extremely pleased. I purchased the sharpener too because I know this slicer will be well used in my kitchen!

I searched for a home, countertop meat slicer and settled on the Chefs Choice 609A. I could have ordered it elsewhere for slightly less, but my experience with Pleasant Hill Grain's excellent service led me to order it from them. It arrived days earlier than anticipated, in perfect condition. This slicer is just right for my needs; slicing homemade bread from my Bosch mixer, preparing frozen (mostly thawed) dog food, and things yet to be sliced.

I bought the slicer for bread and it works very well for this. I haven’t tried slicing anything else yet. The look of the slicer is rather disappointing, the “silver” color turned out to be a very sad dark gray... like the color of computers 30 years ago.

We have labored trying to cut our bread with different “helps” to no avail. But this work great! We have yet to figure out how to catch the slices, but have only used it twice. The bread actually lasts longer because the slices are uniform!
