Canned Butter, 24 Cans
New Zealand's Red Feather is the world's largest producer of canned butter. Sealed airtight for maximum freshness, Red Feather's canned butter delivers convenience in the form of extended shelf life and easy distribution without the necessity of refrigeration. It has also proven ideal for disaster preparedness, camping, boating and remote areas where refrigeration isn't available. Each can holds 12 ounces of pure creamy butter.
New Zealand's free range farming system allows Red Feather to produce butter of the highest quality. Their production facilities are ISO, GMP and HACCP accredited, and they take great pride in their reputation for the highest quality dairy products.
Shelf Life
How long does it last? Ballantyne, the maker of Red Feather butter, is beginning to sell to some brick-and-mortar stores. To do that, their butter is required to have either an expiration date or best-by date, so Red Feather butter now has an "expiration" date of two years after it was canned. This being said, the butter is made and canned no differently than it was in the past when Ballantyne said the product had a shelf life of “at least” two years, and that statement only reflected the possibility that the can itself could be compromised—which it could, but it won't if it’s stored in a dry place, because it’s a very high quality can. They've also said the butter retains nutritional value well beyond that time frame. In actual practice, countless customers have found the product to be indiscernible from fresh butter after more than a decade of room-temperature storage! Pretty amazing.
Is it Real Butter?
If you've been looking to add REAL butter, not powdered or freeze dried, to your pantry, then look no further. This butter, imported from New Zealand, tastes wonderful and has an indefinite shelf life, with no refrigeration necessary!

My wife and I bought a case with a case of cheese and tried it on some pilot bread survival crackers. Could make a meal out of it. Brought back memories of grandmother's butter to this old man. Can't hardly get butter this good anymore. Hope it lasts along with our other crisis/emergency supplies until there is one or I'll be buying more. Great and friendly service despite the nasty weather you were having when I ordered. Can't go wrong!
You will not be disappointed with this Butter!!!! We have used it for awhile....... so good. A great way to take care of the butter issue when dealing with long term food storage......... that is if this butter lasts long enough to get into the food storage area. This butter is so good I bought another case after the first can!
My very picky daughter was asked how she likes the butter and she said "It tastes like real butter." I told her it is real butter, just in a can. She loves it; we all do. Bought a case.
This butter is awesome for camping and the hunt camp. It's also nice to have in the cupboard for, God forbid, you run out of butter!! Fresh and creamy, just as good as your market brands. We always have some on hand.
Tastes great, just as good or better than any butter I've purchased in the market. It will come in handy for Florida's hurricane-related power outages. They've lasted over three weeks in the past.
When I ordered, I put in the wrong address. You called me before they shipped. Thank you
I bought a couple of cans a couple of years ago to test. I opened one immediately, and was happy with the taste, texture, etc. The taste is a bit different from the grocery store butter that I normally buy, but then, every brand of butter tastes different. I would definitely use it every day if I needed to. I left the second can on the shelf in my kitchen to see how it would taste after a couple of years. I was a bit hesitant about tasting it. I really thought it would not taste good after being on the shelf at (a warm) room temp for a couple of years. But I was pleasantly surprised. I put some on a cracker, and it tasted fine. Put some more on another cracker, then another... lol. No "can" taste, no rancid taste. I transferred it to a plastic container and put it in the freezer for a few days. When I removed it and let it sit at room temp until it was soft, it was still a great product. So... I ordered more to keep on my shelf for emergencies, or when I'm just too lazy to go shopping. I definitely would recommend this product.
It's great my mom would buy that when we lived in Aruba. I bought it to resend it to my sister-law, she is working in South America and they don't have electricity (regularly). And she was dying for butter. Your service was excellent everything arrived ON TIME, thank you.
Excellent as to taste, texture and appearance. It kept perfectly well in the fridge until it was used up. It is a bit saltier than my ideal butter (we normally eat unsalted butter) but it is better than many fresh salted butters and you obviously have to have some salt in it to preserve it. Glad to find it.
I haven't tried this butter yet but I ordered an entire case and not one single can was dented. This is a huge plus for me. Same with the case of ghee I ordered. If you order much long term canned food you know what I'm talking about. I get so tired of dented cans that I put off ordering food. Pleasant Hill Grain just earned themselves a customer for life!
