Butter Bell, Antique, Sienna
Each crock from the Antique Collection is made with durable, weighty, new bone china. The crocks are decorated with a timeless scrolling vine design, reminiscent of French vineyards. The Antique Collection has an array of colors, distressed to make the crock look like a well-loved heirloom. These Butter Bell Antique Collection crocks measure a convenient 4” x 4” so they will take little space on a counter or tabletop. Holds a full stick (1/2 cup) of butter.
Butter left open on the countertop won't keep long... and when refrigerated it tears nasty holes in your bread. Happily, there's a third way—the Butter Bell® butter keeper. What butter needs to remain fresh isn't cold temperature, but protection from the oxygen in air. Using a forgotten, centuries-old technique, the Butter Bell keeps your butter soft and fresh right on the counter for up to a month!
Just pour an inch of water in the base, pack the porcelain ceramic butter crock with butter, and invert it in the base. The water seals out air, keeping your butter soft, sweet & fresh for up to 30 days. If you're anything like us, you might be thinking something along the lines of "Fresh butter on the counter... for weeks... oh sure..." Yep, we were skeptical too. But we tried it... and it works wonderfully!
The only maintenance required is to change the water every third day. You'll soon be recommending Butter Bell butter keepers to your friends. Pleasant Hill Grain offers Butter Bells in an array of exquisite styles & colors to complement your kitchen!

I'm so happy with my Butter Bell that I am buying one for each of my five sisters and a couple of my aunts. I enjoy Pleasant Hill Grain's products.
This is a piece of art! My kids love it and we love being able to put butter on our bread without ripping it to shreds. Butter is fresh and it's easy to clean. Highly recommended!
The butter is always soft and ready for use; the bell looks nice on the counter.
I bought this to give as a Christmas gift and was very pleased by the product. The one down-side is it is made in China. (I prefer to purchase USA products). The person I am giving it to will like it and I liked it so much I may order one for myself! I spoke with Customer Service after it arrived and they were absolutely terrific. I will order from this company again.
The Butter Bell works great and looks lovely, and the service from Pleasant Hill was fabulous from start to finish.
Have used butter bells for years. This product is excellent quality. The Vert color is beautiful on the counter or table.
We always wanted a Butter Bell but never liked the plain Jane ones that were available locally. And I never thought I would purchase one from online. Pleasant Hill Grain had several styles and sizes to choose from. In the same order I accidentally ordered a wrong brand of accessory for our dehydrator. We received a phone call from a sales associate who had caught my mistake and cared enough to call us about it. I wish I remembered her name for this review, I told her how nice it was someone was considerate enough to check and spot my mistake before the order was placed. I explained how much I appreciated their service. Insert smiley face.
This butter keeper allows butter to stay unrefrigerated. We always finish it before it might have to be refrigerated. It remains softer and more spreadable for a week or more. We love it.
I bought this for my wife together with a few other kitchen items as a surprise package just because. She loves it. It is nice to have soft butter to use for fresh homemade bread. She is already planning to give these as Christmas gifts.
My mom loved her gift and tried it while I visited her. Worked well! My only negative was that I had to pay shipping cost which I'm not used to doing in this day and age.
