Clearance: BRK Sizzle Cooker, 6.3Q, Green
This is an R1 clearance item. Please check the tables below to see how we rate our clearance items.
BRK recently introduced their new Sizzle cookware system that uses very low pressure—just two to four pounds—to cook foods gently and quickly. We think you’ll be excited about this innovative, stylish new cookware line!
Cooking in a Sizzle pot maintains your food’s nutrients and delivers exceptionally tender results thanks to its patented, airtight lid with silicone gasket and its innovative pressure vent that regulates the cooking pressure. Save energy and time and savor healthier, tastier food when you cook in the low-pressure Sizzle cookware from BRK. Because food is gently steamed, your food’s natural vitamins, minerals and deep flavor are preserved.
The patented, airtight glass lid features a locking mechanism allowing you to easily release or fasten the seal with one hand. And because the lid is airtight, your pot won’t boil over. Unlike a high-pressure cooker, you’re free to remove the lid on the low-pressure Sizzle cooker at any time during cooking if you’d like to season or taste what you’re preparing.

“You can use it like a pressure cooker without the fear of opening it, so you can open it any time. The liquid and all its flavor stays in the pot. My food is so much more flavorful with the Sizzle. It's wonderful.”
– Dorothea A., NY
Experience cooking with extremely even heat when you use the Sizzle pot. Heat is spread uniformly along the bottom of the Sizzle cooker through the heat-conducting disk that’s sealed into the stainless steel base of every pot.
Enjoy the versatility of a Sizzle cooker! This attractive cooking system allows you to quickly boil, pressure cook, and steam with the lid on, or without the lid you can brown or sear meats and the even heating you get with the BRK base provides consistent results. BRK Sizzle cookers work on all types of cooktops, too: electric, gas, ceramic, induction or halogen
BRK is well known in Europe where they're regarded as a leader in advanced pressure cooking based on both the quality of their products, and innovative features not found in other cookware systems. From the 18/10 stainless steel to the sturdy, well-sized handles, BRK quality is top of the line. BRK manufactures their patented Sizzle valves in Germany; other components are manufactured in Asia to exacting BRK specifications.

Expanded Ratings Descriptions |
|
R1 | Very close scrutiny is required to tell that the item isn’t brand new. Working surfaces may show slight wear; for example, the bottom-inside of a Bosch mixer bowl may show swirl marks because Bosch mixer whips are designed to “float” against bottom of bowl. Non-working surfaces (cabinet, control panel) look essentially new. Carton may not be perfect. |
---|---|
R2 | Typically has a small scuff or mark on a non-working surface like a mixer cabinet or the top of a pressure cooker lid. |
FR | Mostly returned items which have been brought fully up to new-equipment performance specs at the factory. |
D | Demonstration items have been operated briefly at Pleasant Hill Grain. |
DIS | These items have never been used but we no longer sell them at full price in our store because it was discontinued by us or by the manufacturer. |
U | Has had light use. |
SDB | Has moderate damage or blemish on a non-working surface, such as a scratch or dent in the housing, or paint blemish. |
NOS | A brand new item that isn't the newest model. |

By Samuel R. in FL on 10/15/2016 - Verified BuyerThis pressure cooker is the best. You don't have to wait for the pressure to build up because it builds right away. There is no safety risk of running dry out of water and explode because it has a glass lid that let you see clearly inside while cooking (plus safety features of course), you can open it and close it and the pressure builds up again in less than 2 seconds. When the food is cooked you don't have to wait for a while (like all others) before opening saving you time. For me one is not enough, I'm ordering a second one... I also have the other BRK pressure cooker and it's great but this one is like nothing ever seen. As any other Cuban family we have used pressure cookers for our every-day-beans all of our life and nothing comes close to this one.5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Eliizabeth L G. in DE on 3/5/2017 - Verified BuyerHad to work with this pan for a while after it arrived before reviewing. It said 50% of cooking time and I'd say that is pretty close for the pressure cooked items meat, beans. I love that once I've cooked and tenderized foods like meat and beans, I can then immediately open the lid to add veggies cut yams add spices to complete the meal, cooking about another ten minutes. Much easier for my digestion. Bought the 10.5 Qt, can cook a little or a lot no problem, its slim design fits the stove without overcrowding, High sides even for sauteing leads to less mess on the stove (not a big fan of cleaning) and since cooking at higher temps under pressure all the food get cooked well. Uses less energy++ and I time some of my un-favorite chores to do while pressure builds (7 min to unload dishwasher, Do 10 to 15 min of counter declutter) then drop temp to low. Take timer with and go read emails, a book, etc., for the 1.5 hour meat cooking. Nice looking, pretty easy cleaning. Well done guys. Bonus: after pulling out the meat, pour off the water put in bowl in fridge, return jellied broth separate fat to be used to make homemade suet for the birds.4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. By Bonnie B. in MA on 6/18/2017 - Verified BuyerUnfortunately I did not understand the difference of "cooks under pressure" and a "pressure cooker" and needed to return the Sizzle. I need a pressure cooker. Otherwise it is an efficient looking product and would purchase if I needed this steamer.3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?

By Barbara K. in WA on 4/15/2016 - Verified BuyerI want to mention that I got the BRK pressure cooker first. It is a well thought out and excellent product.
Then I looked closer at what Pleasant Hill Grain had to offer and thought that I would like to try the BRK Sizzle Cooker as well. This cooker is somewhat similar to a pressure cooker, but cooks at a lower pressure. The lid therefore can be opened throughout the cooking process... one of the things I liked about this product. I made stew (goulash). It took less time to cook, and it was quite delicious. We also eat a lot of vegetables. I was impressed by the taste and also how the vegetables retained their freshness as well as their vivid colors.
I am very impressed by BRK products and would highly recommend them.7 out of 8 people found this review helpful. Did you? -
