Nutriware Rice Cooker Stainless Pot
Aroma's NutriWare stainless steel rice cooker lets you make perfectly steamed white or brown rice, healthy steamed meals, and hearty soups or stews. And the Nutriware is one of the few rice cookers on the market with a stainless steel inner pot (also called the bowl or pan.) The rice cooker contains no Teflon™ or other PTFE material.
The Nutriware stainless rice cooker makes from 4 to 21 cups of cooked rice of your choice with programmed functions for white or brown rice. Rice will double or triple in volume as it cooks.
Included with this cooker is a stainless steel steam tray that allows you to steam meats & vegetables while rice cooks below. The patent-pending Sauté-then-Simmer function allows the cooker to cook rice and meat at high heat without the lid, and then automatically switches to a simmer temperature when you place the lid on the cooker.
Constructed of surgical grade stainless steel and designed for easy disassembly for a quick cleanup in the dishwasher.
Included: stainless steel steam tray, measuring cup, and serving spatula
Cleanup: Because a stainless-pan rice cooker doesn't have a nonstick coating, some rice will burn onto the bottom of the pot. Let it soak with warm water and dishwashing detergent, and after about an hour it will come out with a nonabrasive nylon scrubbing pad.

The convenience is challenged by a very long cooking time, about two hours. The written instructions give conflicting information on this as well. It does do a good job as a steamer and I've made soup in it too. But if you don't want to wait forever for brown rice, break out your pressure cooker instead, and wonder exactly why you bought a rice cooker.
