Steaming and Roasting
Steaming food on a stove can be an unpleasant and time-consuming process. Your kitchen heats up because the stove is on, it takes a while, and pots have to be hand-washed or they take up a bunch of room in your dishwasher. With frozen, steam-in-bag vegetables you have a plastic bag to dispose of, and you can’t enjoy the same fresh vegetable taste you can have from your vegetable garden.
The Lékué Steam Case and Tray for two is made from silicone so it’s easy to clean and is microwave, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer safe. Simply place your vegetables in the steam case, close the flaps, and pop it in the microwave until desired doneness is reached. Since it’s made of silicone, it repels water and bacteria.
The Lékué Steam and Roast Set is also microwave, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator safe. The dish is ceramic while the lid is plastic. The dish is broiler safe, and the lid is oven safe up to 428°F. Use the pan to roast or steam in the oven or in a microwave.
Everyone loves popcorn and you can’t beat the convenience of microwave popcorn. But microwave popcorn is expensive compared to regular popcorn and it’s often filled with mystery oils and butters. Store-bought microwave popcorn also is much higher in fat, due to all the oils. To make popcorn in the Lékué Popcorn Popper, simply pour in 1/3 cup of unpopped popcorn kernels, secure the lid, and microwave for 2-3 minutes. No oils or chemicals needed! Included in the instructions are recipes for popcorn made with parsley, tarragon, chives and other unique and delicious ingredients. You can buy highly-reviewed popcorn from Pleasant Hill Grain; check out our popcorn .
Microwaving an omelet sounds a little crazy, but it’s much easier and more delicious than it sounds. Beat eggs, add cooked vegetables, cooked meat, and cheese, then pour everything into the Lékué Microwavable Omelet Maker. Microwave for a few minutes until the eggs are done. The omelet maker is made from BPA-free silicone that’s nonstick and easy to clean. Who doesn’t want to cook an omelet in something eggs won’t stick to?
