Emile Henry Quality
Emile Henry products are made of natural Burgundy clay; a mineral-rich limestone soil. Fashioned from this quality material by skilled craftsmen, the products have such high thermal strength that they can go straight from the oven to the freezer. Not only are Emile Henry products durable and functional, they’re also exceptionally handsome—and since they’re highly chip, crack and scratch resistant, you’ll enjoy their good looks for years to come! These serving dishes add a classy touch to open shelving and cabinetry, and are a beautiful way to serve breakfast foods, pizza, soups and elegant desserts.
Flavors blend exceptionally well in Emile Henry dishes because they’re built to efficiently store and distribute heat throughout the bottom and sides of the dish.
The most popular items in our Emile Henry product line are the bread baking dishes. The round bread cloche, baguette cloche, and bread loaf baker are fantastic for artisan bread making at home. The clay lids on the boule, baguette and loaf pans trap steam from your bread while it’s baking, creating an environment similar to a bakery’s steam injection oven. Using steam while baking bread produces golden brown, crisp crusts and a tender crumb. Conveniently, the baguette cloche will bake three 13.5 x 2.5-inch French baguettes all at once! Each of these bread bakers is available in deep red or charcoal.
Whether you enjoy preparing individual ramekin treats, a large breakfast quiche, or chocolate soufflés, we have the dishes you’ll need. Our 6-ounce ramekins come in a set of four and are available in a variety of cheery, crisp colors. The 11-inch diameter quiche dish comes in red or white and can be used as a tart pan as well as for morning egg recipes. Red, white or blue soufflé dishes hold 8 ounces of your favorite soufflé.
You may wonder why the Lékué steam and roast set is on our Emile Henry brand page. Well, the ceramic casserole dish in this set is crafted in France by Emile Henry, and the bright green silicone lid is produced by Lékué. This bakeware set retains moisture and can be used in the microwave, on the grill or in the oven up to 428 degrees.
Recommended by Cook’s Illustrated, our broiler-safe Emile Henry lasagna dish boasts a 5.4-quart capacity and is just the right piece for casseroles, cinnamon rolls, macaroni and cheese, and fudge brownies. Take a frozen meal directly to the hot oven to bake or broil, and microwave the leftovers in the same dish later. The lead-free glaze won't crack, discolor, or scratch and the pan is dishwasher safe. Its straight sides make cleanup a breeze!
Complementing the lasagna dish is the 10 x 14-inch ruffled baker. The ruffled baker provides a more delicate presentation without losing any of the strength or durability found in other Emile Henry bakeware.
Bake a fresh fruit pie in the lovely Emile Henry 9-inch pie dish and you’re sure to delight friends at summer picnics, or family at Thanksgiving gatherings. Melt-in-the-mouth pies need to be baked evenly and gently if they’re not going to dry out, and this scalloped-edge pie plate is ideal for turning out delectable pies. Because Emile Henry clay bakeware retains heat so well, it will keep your fresh-baked food warm even as it waits on the table. The glaze won't crack, so cutting with sharp utensils is safe to do in the dish.
Stewpots from Emile Henry are impressive vessels for cooking your favorite potato soup, clam chowder, chili and hearty beef stews. Innovative flame technology allows these pots to be used in the oven up to 930 degrees to roast or bake without cracking, discoloring, or breaking. They can even be used on a grill or over an open flame! Besides soup, this lidded pot is an excellent dish for making batches of sticky candy, or slow braising a pot roast. Emile Henry stewpots are available in 2.6, 4.2 and 5.5-quart capacities. Choose from a variety of deep, warm, earthy colors. The fine qualities of the Emile Henry stew pots help you prepare delicious food with perfectly melded flavors.
12 and 14.5-inch pizza stones come in deep red (rouge) and black (noir) and share the same innovative flame technology as the stewpots described above. With their micro-crazed glaze, crusts turn out well-baked and crispy—just like in a pizza oven. You can cut directly on the glazed pizza stone without damaging or scratching the surface. These stones can be used in conventional and convection ovens in addition to gas, charcoal and natural wood grills.
