Clearance: KoMo Hand Grinder
This is an R1 clearance item. Please check the tables below to see how we rate our clearance items.
The KoMo hand grinder is constructed of solid maple hardwood and stainless steel, with precisely fitted corundum-ceramic millstones. An extra large hardwood handle provides smooth cranking, and the transparent milling chamber provides a full view of the hand mill's interior.
All dry grains can be ground, including soft or hard wheat, oat groats (dehulled oats), rice, triticale, kamut, spelt, buckwheat, barley, rye, millet, teff, quinoa, amaranth, sorghum and dent (field) corn. It will also grind lentils, dry beans (pinto, red, garbanzo, kidney & more), and dried, non-oily spices. It isn't suitable for herbs, oilseeds like flax or sesame, popcorn, or fibrous materials.
“We love this mill! It grinds smoothly and as finely as you'd like. It doesn't require too much elbow grease (I'm super petite). The mill is so beautiful and it's an ornament for the kitchen in its own right.”
– Jingjing S., NY
Hopper capacity is 1.3 lbs. Milling rate is 1.6 oz. of fine grain flour per minute.
Grinding texture is infinitely adjustable from very fine flour to coarse meal or cracked grain.
Two heavy duty steel clamps with 2.25" clamping range hold the mill securely to the countertop, and a removable maple and stainless steel flour bin is included. Built with uncommon quality and impeccable finish, the KoMo hand grinder is a beautiful example of European craftsmanship.
An optional motor drive attachment is available for the KoMo hand grinder.

Three additional notes:
|Bottom Line: If you’re a highly detail-oriented person, we recommend sticking to “R1.” But after a week’s use, the only real difference between one of these items and a brand new one will be the money you saved.|
Expanded Ratings Descriptions
|R1||Very close scrutiny is required to tell that the item isn’t brand new. Working surfaces may show slight wear; for example, the bottom-inside of a Bosch mixer bowl may show swirl marks because Bosch mixer whips are designed to “float” against bottom of bowl. Non-working surfaces (cabinet, control panel) look essentially new. Carton may not be perfect.|
|R2||Typically has a small scuff or mark on a non-working surface like a mixer cabinet or the top of a pressure cooker lid.|
|FR||Mostly returned items which have been brought fully up to new-equipment performance specs at the factory.|
|D||Demonstration items have been operated briefly at Pleasant Hill Grain.|
|DXD||An item that we no longer sell new in our store because it was discontinued by us or by the manufacturer.|
|U||Has had light use.|
|SD||Has moderate damage on a non-working surface, such as a scratch or dent in the housing.|
|NOS||A brand new item that isn't the newest model.|

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife, and she loves it. She says her only complaint is that the directions were not very clear.5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Did you?
I already own an electric KoMo mill but purchased this hand mill at my mom's request. We've been using it for a week or so and are loving it! It grinds smoothly and as finely as you'd like. It doesn't require too much elbow grease (for reference I'm super petite and can operate this without any problem). The mill is so beautiful and it's an ornament for the kitchen in its own right.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you?
